I am going to teach you how to sync Collections from your Lightroom Catalog to the Adobe Lightroom for Mobile App in this tutorial. As you will see, synchronizing Collections from your Adobe Photoshop Lightroom Classic Catalog over to your mobile devices is a piece of cake.
There are three things that you should know before you start working with the Adobe Lightroom for Mobile App. First, if you are not an Adobe Creative Cloud Subscriber then unfortunately this tutorial is not for you.
I apologize but Adobe has chosen to restrict all of functions that I demonstrate in this video tutorial for their Creative Cloud subscribers only. Even you loyal Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 6 customers will not be able to follow along with the buttons that I push in this video. Sadly, this tutorial is for my Adobe Photoshop Lightroom Classic audience only.
Second, the Adobe Lightroom for Mobile App is a way to synchronize your images from device to device but this is not the same as an image backup plan. The Adobe Lightroom for Mobile App for iOS and Android devices is a fantastic way to edit, and share, for favorite images but nothing in this App replaces your need for a robust reliable image backup system.
Finally, the Adobe Lightroom for Mobile App can only sync with one Adobe Photoshop Lightroom Classic Catalog at a time. If you only have one Adobe Photoshop Lightroom Classic Catalog then this is wonderful. If, on the other hand, you are intentionally working with multiple Adobe Photoshop Lightroom Classic Catalogs then you will need to do some really careful thinking before you follow any of the steps in this video tutorial.
