How To Find Missing Tools In Adobe Photoshop Lightroom Classic’s Develop Module

    Divider LineLearn how to find your missing Adobe Photoshop Lightroom Classic Develop Module tools and features in this new video tutorial.

There are so many ways that things can go missing inside of Adobe Photoshop Lightroom Classic that I have divided up the hunt for missing tools and features into two separate video tutorials. This video focus on common Develop Module frustrations only. If there are Library Module tools or features that you are missing then please click here to watch the next video in this series.

Pressing a button on your keyboard to hide away some part of Lightroom Classic’s user interface is great when you know what you are doing. Unfortunately, invoking one of Adobe Photoshop Lightroom Classic’s many keyboard shortcuts by accident often causes Develop Module tools and features to go missing.

Below is a list of Develop Module keyboard shortcuts that show or hide essential user interface elements.

Tab = opens or closes the Left and Righthand Panels
Shift + Tab = opens or closes both side Panels plus the Module Picker and the Filmstrip
F = Full Screen preview
Shift + F = cycles through the Screen Modes
T = shows or hides the Toolbar
L = invokes the Lights Dimmed or Lights Out modes
J = turns on or off the Clipping Indicators
I = cycles through the Loupe Info metadata display options
H = shows or hides the Edit Pins in the Graduated / Radial Filters or the Adjustment Brush
O = shows or hides the Mask Overlay in the Graduated / Radial Filters or the Adjustment Brush
Shift + O = cycles through the Adjustment Mask Overlay Colors

If none of the tips in this video make things better, or make your missing tools reappear, then there is a way to completely reset all of Adobe Photoshop Lightroom Classic’s Preferences. To reset Lightroom Classic’s preferences hold down the Shift + Alt + Command keys on a Mac or the Shift + Alt + Control keys on a PC immediately after you launch the program.

Completely resetting Lightroom Classic’s Preferences is not likely to cause you any harm but I urge you to make sure that you have a robust backup of your Catalog and all of your images before you try this step.
