Pressing a button on your keyboard to hide away some part of Lightroom Classic’s user interface is great when you know what you are doing. Unfortunately, invoking one of Adobe Photoshop Lightroom Classic’s many keyboard shortcuts by accident often causes essential Library Module tools and features to go missing.
Below is a list of Library Module keyboard shortcuts that show or hide essential user interface elements.
Tab = opens or closes the Left and Righthand Panels
Shift + Tab = opens or closes both side Panels plus the Module Picker and the Filmstrip
F5 = opens or closes the Module Picker
F6 = opens or closes the Filmstrip
F7 = opens or closes the Lefthand Panel
F8 = opens or closes the Righthand Panel
Backslash = shows or hides the Library Filter
T = shows or hides the Toolbar
L = invokes the Lights Dimmed or Lights Out modes
J = cycles through the Grid Cell metadata display options
I = cycles through the Loupe view metadata display options
F = Full Screen preview
Shift + F = cycles through the Screen Modes
